Connor Bergen is a Vice President with MMG Advisors, Inc., a pre-eminent boutique M&A brokerage firm focused on connecting middle market consumer retail companies with investors who can provide both the capital and the operational capabilities which meet the unique needs of our clients. In this role, Connor is responsible for partnering with founders to prepare their business to transact, for evaluating potential buy- and sell-side opportunities and providing strategic recommendations, and for simultaneously shepherding multiple transactions from initiation through closing. Connor is based in Brooklyn, New York.
Prior to MMG, Connor was an investment professional at DuneGlass Capital and New Harbor Capital, both operations-oriented lower middle market private equity firms in Chicago. Before that he was a strategy consultant with MonitorDeloitte, where he led multiple value-accretive projects across the consumer, retail, and technology industries and advised senior executives of some of the world's biggest companies on growth strategies, organizational effectiveness, and operations-oriented M&A.
Outside of his day job, Connor previously served on the Board of Directors of Social Venture Partners – Chicago as a Kellogg Board Fellow and began his career teaching history in one of America’s highest-need school districts with Teach for America – Mississippi.
Connor holds an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from the University of Connecticut. He’s also an amateur woodworker, a transplanted Cubs fan, and a mediocre chef.
