KFN Announces New Advisory Board Member, Brad Bernstein ('94), Managing Director & head of the equity group, Monroe Capital
About Brad Bernstein:
Brad joined Monroe in 2017 to build and run the direct private equity team. Monroe Capital, a Chicago-based private investment firm with approximately $10 billion in assets under management, primarily focuses on investing in private debt, opportunistic credit and special situations as well as control and non-control equity. Prior to joining Monroe, Brad was a Managing Partner at SE Capital, a Chicago-based lower middle market private equity firm that he co-founded in 2001.
Previously, Brad worked in investment banking, high yield capital markets and leveraged finance with JP Morgan &Co, Bank of America Securities and First Chicago Capital Markets.
Brad currently sits on numerous private company boards representing a variety of industries. He also serves on the board of the Foundation at the University of South Florida where he is a member of the Foundation’s Investment Committee. Additionally, Brad is a member of the Dean’s Executive Advisory Council at USF’s Muma College of Business.
Brad earned a BA in Finance from the University of South Florida’s Muma College of Business and graduated in 1994 with an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
