KFN Announces New Board of Directors Member, Patrick C. Eilers ('99), Founder And Managing Partner - Transition Equity Partners, LLC.
Patrick C. Eilers, Founder and Managing Partner, Transition Equity Partners, LLC (TEP). Pat concentrates on investments in the energy and power sector. He has extensive investment experience in the renewable energy industry and works diligently to improve the US national policy.
Prior to TEP, Pat served as Managing Director, BlackRock Infrastructure Investment Group from 2016 to 2019, and Madison Dearborn Partners, LLC from 1999 to 2015. Pat was with Jordan Industries, Inc, and IAI Venture Capital, Inc where he worked during the off-seasons, while playing professional football as a safety with the Chicago Bears, the Washington Redskins, and the Minnesota Vikings from 1990 to 1995.
Pat currently serves on the Board of Directors of BedRock and is a Board observer on NextDecade (NASDAQ: NEXT). He formerly served on the Board of Director on First Wind Partners, LLC, Magellan Midstream Partners, LP, and US Power Generating Company LLC.
Pat's avocation is sports performance where he also serves on the Board of Directors and is Chairman of DARI Motion, Inc., and is a Director of Championship Analytics. He is a member of the University of Notre Dame College Advisory Council for the Student Athlete, serves on the Board of Trustees and is Chair of the Finance Committee of Saint Thomas Academy, and is a Director of the Schmitt Foundation and The Archdiocese of Chicago School Board.
Pat earned a BS in Biology and Mechanical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame. He played college football and baseball at the University of Notre Dame and was a member of the 1988 Fighting Irish team, which won a national championship. He also has an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
